now included in the official Cygwin net-release. Get the official versions
at one of
these sites, in

directories. Note that as of Jan 24, 2001, the
updated versions of these packages are not yet
official: they are test releases; you must
specifically choose them using the setup.exe program -- they will not be
installed by default. None of these packages have been announced on the

list.

zip-2.3-1 and
unzip-5.41-1
are now an official part of the cygwin platform; they are no longer
test releases. However, the
updated version of the automake package is not yet
official: it is a test release; you must
specifically choose it using the setup.exe program -- it will not be
installed by default.
While zip-2.3-1 and
unzip-5.41-1 have been announced on the
cygwin-announce
mailing list; the
automake package
has only been announced on the main
cygwin mailing
list.
- 2001-Jan-09: the
CygIPC
package has been updated to version 1.08. Contains
added documentation from the Linux Documentation Project. Also contains new
test programs copied from the LDP (in the sourcecode tarball only). Thanks
go to Malcolm Blue for various fixes related to message queue handling.

perl
package has been
obsoleted by version 5.6.1-1 now
included in the official Cygwin net-release. Get the official version
at one of
these sites, in
the 'cygwin/contrib/perl' directory. Note that as of Jan 4, 2001, this
updated version of the perl
