News

• 2000-Feb-25: v1.05 released. Fixed open() calls to include a file-access-mode argument; without one, ntsec can't create the appropriate ACL's for the memory-map files in /tmp.
• 2000-Feb-18: v1.04 re-released. Fixed a minor goof in the version numbering. (Thanks, Eric)
• 2000-Feb-17: v1.04 released. Includes patches variable initialization cleanups (Danial Horak) and g++ cleanups (Eric Fifer).

Notes:

• derived from the JPL version of cygwin-IPC, which in turn was derived from the multione.capgemini version.
• added ftok() from glibc-2.1.2
• I haven't tested this much at all, but it compiles and perl is happy with it.

This package was originally located here:
   http://www.multione.capgemini.fr/tools/pack_ipc/
but the server has been inaccessible since early December 99.

I found a mirror here:
   http://dods.jpl.nasa.gov/WinPort/portEnvSetup.html
   ftp://podaac.jpl.nasa.gov/pub/users/rmorris/DodsWin32Port/cygwinB20IPC.tar.gz
but it was compiled for B20.1 and needed some fixups to compile
with Cygwin pre1.1 snapshots.

Anyway, you can unpack the binary distro from / into /usr/local/, or
compile it yourself. Just 'make' oughta do it.
