From Chris Mcdonald In the last month I have received a plethora of calls, messages, etc., regarding the "Irina" virus. The "Irina" is a HOAX in the same category as the "Good Times" virus. A virus researcher, Graham Cluley, has confirmed that "Irina" was and remains a hoax "orchestrated by Penguin Books as a publicity stunt for a new interactive book called 'Irina'". There is yet a third confirmed hoax called the "MMF virus". A Lance Clarke has admitted that he used the "Good Times" legend as a reference point for his hoax. Mr. Clarke started the hoax claiming that one could suffer a virus infection if one read a "UseNet message where the phrase 'Make Money Fast' appears in the subject line". >From the NIST security clearing house I found a site apparently dedicated to exposing hoaxs and other forms of mass virus hysteria. \011\011www.kunite.com/myths Chris
