On p. 43 in Chapter 3, the second paragraph begins "The right panel shows the same setup using a virtual private network." The sentence refers to Figure 3-1, which contains no second panel. Like many other figures in the book such a panel would contain an Internet cloud instead of a leased line. In Figure 5-3, p. 72, the "Windows NT 4.0 RAS Server with PPTP" box should be associated with 204.96.12.60, not 204.96.12.25. On p. 107 in Chapter 7, the last paragraph begins "In Figure 7-1..." This figure was inadvertantly omitted from the book. But the text in that paragraph should be enough to convey the configuration. On p. 108, the address on top of the "Tunnel Server" at the top of the figure should read 20.15.26.6 instead of 20.15.26.7. The "Tunnel Network" box on the bottom of the figure should have an address of 192.261.5.7 instead of 192.261.5.6. Readers may be confused by the references to versions of the Windows NT Service Pack. Several Windows NT 4.0 VPN products needed a certain Service Pack level in order to operate properly. The convention used in the book was to name the Service Pack in which a fix or feature first appeared. For example, using DHCP with PPTP filtering requires Service Pack 2 (or later). It's important to note, however, that Microsoft Service Packs are cumulative, so you need to install only the latest one. At the time the book went to press, the latest was Service Pack 3, so you can assume that unless you already meet the minimum Service Pack level for the fix or feature, you should install SP3.
