I have applied this patch partially. The changes to Michael Sweet plug-ins weren't 
made, but I have informed him about this diff and I hope he'll answer soon


Ok, here comes his answer:

	The patch to print.c is unncessary; in some situations you may get a
	warning that those variables are unused, but I'd rather not have a
	bunch of local, local, etc. variables lying around to have to fight
	with.

	The patch to sgi.c is a long-standing bug in the GIMP code; the plugin
	clearly specifies that it only saves RGB(A) and GRAY(A) images, but
	GIMP still passes the file to the plug-in for saving.  GIMP needs the
	patch, not the SGI plug-in...
